AMC Theatres® Brings Record-Setting Blockbuster from China to U.S. Audiences

Select AMC Theatres to feature LOST IN THAILAND starting Friday, Feb. 8 in celebration of the Chinese New Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(Business Wire)--Since 2010, AMC Theatres has featured Mandarin-language films in select theatres. Starting Friday, Feb. 8, AMC will offer its guests the opportunity to see LOST IN THAILAND, the blockbuster setting theatrical attendance records in China.

“LOST IN THAILAND is an action-packed comedy about two Chinese colleagues racing to find their boss at a remote monastery in Thailand. Since its theatrical release on Dec. 12, 2012, the movie has entertained more movie-goers in China than the global blockbuster AVATAR”

“We are committed to tailoring content to serve AMC’s local communities, ranging from blockbuster action franchises and animated family movies to sophisticated art films and Mandarin-language love stories,” said Nikkole Denson-Randolph, vice president of alternative and special content at AMC. “We are thrilled to present LOST IN THAILAND now, in time for Chinese New Year celebrations, as many of our guests have requested.”
