What a long, strange year it’s been. No, I didn’t get out much, but luckily, films came to me via studio (Warner Bros., Lionsgate), Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, and Apple TV to name a few. Of the films I’ve seen, the ones listed above have made an impression that lasted well beyond their screening. The three honorable mentions bring the total to 13, a fitting number to commemorate the events of 2020. The industry is not dead, and here’s the proof. –JM 2/2021
