CinemaCon International Day Keynote Addresses

ANDREW CRIPPS, PRESIDENT OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES INTERNATIONAL AND MILLARD L. OCHS, PRESIDENT OF WARNER BROS. INTERNATIONAL CINEMAS SET TO KICK-OFF CINEMACON INTERNATIONAL DAY WITH KEYNOTE ADDRESSES

Washington D.C.  (December 20, 2010) –    Andrew Cripps, President of Paramount Pictures International and Millard L. Ochs, President of Warner Bros. International Cinemas are slated to give the keynote addresses as part of CinemaCon’s International Day, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon which will be held March 28 – 31, 2011 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. When it debuts, CinemaCon, the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), will be the largest and most important gathering of cinema owners and operators from around the world. The keynote address will take place at the International Day Breakfast on March 28, 2011.

“As our industry continues to evolve around the world it is imperative that cinema owners and operators keep up to date with the ongoing changes within the industry,” said Neuhauser.  “Both Millard L. Ochs and Andrew Cripps will be able to provide valuable insight to the state of the industry in regards to international exhibition and the current state of international distribution. We are delighted they are joining us to kick off the inaugural edition of CinemaCon and we are excited to be able to provide the international exhibitors attending CinemaCon with the opportunity to hear a keynote address that we believe will be timely, topical and memorable.”

Andrew Cripps has been President of Paramount Pictures International since its inception in January 2007. Cripps joined UIP, a joint venture distribution company between Paramount and Universal in 1986 where he started out as Executive Assistant to the General Manager, Japan. In 1988, he was promoted to Vice-President Sales, South East Asia and soon took on additional responsibility for sales in Australia, moving to London in 1990 to take on the role of Senior Vice-President of International Sales. He became President and COO of UIP in 1999 until being named President of Paramount Pictures International in 2007.

Millard L. Ochs has served as President of Warner Bros. International Cinemas since 1994, having been named to the post six months after joining the company. In this capacity he leads WBIC’s efforts to provide a world-class movie experience to audiences around the globe in state of the art cinemas. Ochs is a third-generation theater business executive who has spent his entire career in the theatrical exhibition business. From 1966-1977, he worked for RKO Stanley Warner Theatres before moving to AMC Theatres, where he continued to rise through the ranks during his tenure there. Prior to joining WBIC Ochs was with UCI from 1988-1994. Ochs was honored with the 2007 Industry Achievement Award in Exhibition at the 2007 RAAM Conference. In 1998, he was the co-recipient of the ShoWest Exhibitor of the Year Award, and in 1996, he was the recipient of the Exhibitor of the Year Award from Cinema Expo.
